His diverse repertoire includes a prolific 12 children’s albums and countless energetically packed live shows for throngs of eager audiences across North America.
 
The first children’s entertainer to headline at the Los Angeles Amphitheater, this four–time recipient of the Parents’ Choice Award and the man Los Angeles Parent called the “Canadian Minister of Positivity” has successfully transformed children’s entertainment into a family affair. Dini Petty

Dini’s broadcast career started by accident in 1970. She moved from radio to television in 1977, joining Citytv as host of her own daily talk show, Sweet City Woman. When CityPulse News took to the airwaves, Dini started as a general reporter and ended up as co-anchor of the six o’clock news. Dini went back to hosting the daytime talk show Cityline, as well as being solo anchor on the five o’clock news and finally, left Citytv in 1989. Her next stop was CTV as host of her own show. Her television career success includes 11 years as host of the national television talk show, The Dini Petty Show, four Gemini Award nominations, a number of CanPro Awards for Cityline and her documentary work done with Citytv in addition to awards for The Dini Petty Show with CTV.

 

Now she adds children’s author and recording artist to her repertoire, with the publication and release of The Queen, The Bear & The Bumblebee as both a hardcover book (illustrated by Governor General’s Award nominee Rose Cowles) (Whitecap Books, October 2000) and a classical music recording for children with The Bumblebee Symphony Orchestra (music composed by Mark Goldman and Andrew Homzy) (The Children’s Group, October 2000).
